ZM for Windows still doesn't work for me?

Hey ya'll!@

I installed the new Fixed ver 1.3 on my ZM serv but it still won't start, when i click start server it just dissappears on me and don't come up.

I'm sure i didnt do anything noobish when putting the files into my server files, so what else do i have to do besides that? do i need to wait for a metamod update?

or do i have to do a clean install again?

im starting to hate valve for all this crap, every time i get it working again finally they break it again! LOL

The lastest zombiemod version is: 1.2.4

Make sure you have the latest version of zombiemod and metamod.

Let me guess, your clicking the srcds.exe?

Make a shorcut and then do it.

sorry yes, i tried the newest ver as soon as it was available (meant to type 1.2.4)

also i have a shortcut on my desktop for my dedicated serv, it gets to where u click start server, but it goes away when i do and never brings it up.

This may be a stupid question but isnt the valve auto-steam updating the cause of the problems in the first place?

I think my steam auto-updated and thats when my server died, but now with the new zm patch it still wont run.

also i cant find hldsupdatetool ? i saw something about that in the other forums but i dont know alot about it.

any help u can provide will be greatly appreciated

Try "google" or look on the steampowered forums for that.

Ya i dont know, i guess i'll scrap trying to run a ZM server anymore. It's just not worth the hassle with all the valve updates killing it, then taking weeks to get it back online.

Weeks ? lol zombiemod was only down for windows dedicated server for about 4 day's.

i had a similar problem but my dedicated server started up, check your metamod version. Shoud be like 3.0.0.1

i say down for weeks not because of waiting for ZM patches, those are quick thanks Cold!

I say that because even after i patch it it still dont work, and i end up trying various things, even full reinstalls but no go...i hate windows and valve updates!

I had my serv runnin exactly like i wanted too, ah well
