***ZM_FOREST_LIGHT_FINAL***
50 Spawnpoints (!zstuck works as well)
==============================
Best Example Screenshot:

==============================
Updates from past versions:
- Props optimized for best performance.
- More fog added.
- More tolerable darkness added.
- SKYLINE ADDED (You can climb above the trees!).
- BACKROUND DEMODIFIED (Less lag and more FPS for better performance).
- LIGHT VERSION OF MAP CREATED (This map, obviously).
- And MUCH more...
==============================
Thanks to:
I'd like to thank everyone here at ZombieMod.com who helped me get the idea for and help me execute this map. I think it came out VERY well in the end and I couldn't have done it without all of you helping me. Thank you! :roll:
==============================
ALSO...
I, Grey Echo, am also known as Elite| Ech0 by my clan and many other zombie mod-lovers, so I used this name to create the map with figuring more people know me by this name than they do by "Grey Echo". So, don't be alarmed if you see "Ech0" across the map or hear people talking about it because it's simply just me. 8)

Just a question but... the dark version is like 5 mb big and this one only 300kb ? (Download size)

I said I improved the performance. :P
Yeah, the lighter version is smaller and runs much faster.
I found that odd at first too. 8)

I was wondering the same thing, I have noticed this with other maps also, when people produce a dark and light version, the dark one is always bigger :?

This is simply because the dark maps use rendering that light maps don't. In order for a map to be dark, you need to render the entire map and shadows for the entire map as well, making the file larger. With light maps, you have to option to not render any of the map or shadows in the map at all, allowing for a much smaller file size. :D

I think im going for the dark version on my server :d
1. Zombiemod so dark = creepy.
2. Some stuff are really bad textured the map ^^ so less noticable in darker map :)
3. Too bad that you can walk through some trees :(

Thats because you don't have light, I would add an light_environment.

Icebreaker,
1. I agree. :D
2. I had to do this to get the performance up (popular demand to do so).
3. I've looked into this and it's impossible. Each model needs it's own model interface. Unfortunetly, most trees in Half-Life don't have these (and the one's that do I've included in the map even though they look horrible) and it would take months to create interfaces for them (and I don't even know how). This is why you can walk through them. I wish there was a way to fix this, too. Right there with you. :P

Something,
Which problem are you talking about that is because I don't have a light_environment in the map?

If I keep it fullbright, then there is a lot less lag and more FPS...not to mention the filesize is very low...if I go changing it I might be lowering performance. :?

I know. ^^
It's great for people who don't have HTTP HighSpeed downloads or simply want light maps. To be honest, I care most about the dark version of this map and don't think I'll be supporting this light version as much unless something is horribly wrong.

Also, in the pic, the texture isn't aligned properly on the crates.
