Bandwith Exceeded

Post by c0ldfyr3 »

My hosting's bandwith hit 101% today, which is not a very good thing at all; it's also probably why people were experiencing extremly slow connections the site.

I'm not sure what this means yet, they haven't contacted me other than the auto emails every 1gb since 80gb.
99.9% of the bandwidth used has been for ZombieMod.com with c0ld.net trailing in with 4gb. I cannot afford to pay for a bigger hosting package especially seeing as I don't create revenue from any of the hosted sites so I'm just going to wait and see how badly they tell me off.

I may move the ZM binary download the the modsdb site, they offer a couple of mirrors for each file. I'll look into it although it will make downloading a pain in the ass.

Thanks for those, I've added all of the above mirrors.
I just realised the amount of maps we currently host here and im willing to be they use most of the bandwith. Thinkin cap on again me supposes.

Maybe we could lower the image and plain text attachment sizes to five or seven?

I know images dont take up much and even my largest text files only come in around 5MB.
