Does anyone feel that Zombie mods in general ( Horde, this one) are getting a bit "old"? I have noticed there are alot more empty zombie servers lately. I'm note sure if this is because of something Valve has done or weather its just getting a bit boring to people.

In any sense, someone should start up an idea thread for features that they would like to have added to the mod, and please be within reason, don't ask for ridiculous addons (unless they absolutely fucking rock)
Donations also help motivate anyone do to anything if the people he/she is doing it for appreciate his/her hard work in the matter. In this case, c0ld.
Once the thread has a fair amount of great ideas, perhaps c0ld could analyze what he can and cannot do. If he's up for it, the next release should bring a jump of interest and I could perhaps produce a video that demonstrates the new features as c0ld develops them... a good way to tease the community

Ok, I think it'd be a great idea for you to be able to choose which model you can be. I've seen numerous people say " How do I become that model". And its funny to watch people whine and moan about what model they are. But, if you could make a popup menu of which zombie model you could be. For example
-Choose your Model-
1.) HeadCrab Zombine
2.) Fast Zombie
3.) Doom3 Fat Zombie
4.) Terminator
5.) ICS ZombieTerror
6.) ICS Hell-Knight Red
7.) Quake 4 Strogg
ect.
I think this would add more fun to the ZM world

I've had this idea for several months now, but I don't know if it's possible to make.
We all know the regular green nightvision, but I think it would be more interesting for ZombieMod if it would be red.
Also another idea that has been mentioned by several people before is to give different abilities to each zombie bit like the Zombiemod of Gary's mod, fast zombie, etc...
Again, I don't know if it's possible to create.
The problem when choosing a zombie model is the instant action you have when u are turned into a zombie and trying to zombiefy someone else.So if you would be able to choose a zombie it should be changed by a command like !zombie and not when you get hit and than get a auto poppup to choose a zombie.But i'm sure you guy's have thought about that.
Now I know this goes into the whole rpg type system and trust me I'm not asking for an rpg... but maybe remember kills to some degree? so after X amount of kills zombies get a different model? or even more Hp? (well heck they are a "more experienced" zombie now but again I'm kinda conflicted because I dont want zombie mod as an rpg or any such but I figure might as well throw the idea out here and someone can come up with something better...

I would like to see the idea of when being "Bitten" you slowly turn into a zombie within the next hmm.. 2 minutes? so it would actually take the zombies 2-3 hits to completely make somebody a zombie< I'd be fun to see how many zombies go after one person and gangbanging him to see who gets the kill. But anyways the main idea is to slowly mutate into a zombie... things like run slower, blurry vision, bloody CT or T model, lower accuracy, etc..
(I'm pretty sure you wouldn't camp with somebody infected next you )

For most this isn't a problem, as the models.cfg exists. Most ZM servers out there are eager to upload more zombie models, the more the merrier it seems, but of course if the host is low on bw, they can always tamper the settings, and perhaps "Slow Zombie Mutation" could become a cvar that the host can enable / disable, of course, saying that it will even be added to the mod.
What about the gametype "escape" where there are 2 teams, humans and zombie's the goal is to try to reach the safe point in the map. (something like vip mod)
Or perhaps only a few humans and the zombie that caught a human will be a human next round.
Offcourse there should be something to prefend zombie's to camp infront of a escape zone.
This wil require new maps for this kind of gametype.

Sounds fun! I always liked the VIP mod, this would add an extra kick to it, Zombie Mod with gametypes? Superb.
that gametype will be awesome, but i think itll be better if only one zombie starts(teleports) by the safe point, then once he zombies a other player their will be 2 zombie defenders and so on
but you will need some mapping desing to make sure the zombies dont run around willy nilly

Well if the knockback and other aspects of zombie mod would be in place, with 1 zombie defender.. and on large servers, 30+ humans defending a VIP, chances seem slim to none. The idea of starting with 1 zombie can work, it will just need more thought and an entirely new system of evening out the teams, servers already strive to config their zombiemod.cfg so that humans and zombies are equal - Cheers if ya have some good ideas on how to make your idea even.
Well first keep in mind that you don't need to kill the zombie's but just try to escape.Perhaps if a zombie dies he will respawn again.Offcourse it would require to playtesting to look for the perfect balance.
