Linux Kernel Timming.

Post by Spinner »

Well, we have had our Linux kernel timmed lower then 500. We run 1 zombie server 32man thats It no http download, no website just 1 server on an entire box. On anymap when the playercount Is 32/32 and the server Is completely full the server will run a load on the cpu up to 99% I haven't seen It go below 80% on a full server. The lagg has been horrible so I was talking to my clan mate whom rents that box for our clan and said what the hell man why don't you crank that mother up... He said jokingly "bout 500 sound good lol" I said no, more like 1000. So he did... now the server Is full, lagg Is why down and the cpu was steady at 61%. If you have a linux server and want to check your servers cpu usage then just type stats In console and It will report the following.

CPU In Out Uptime Users FPS Players
61.50 59670.70 136669.73 854 29 249.94 32
