"zombie_zombification_type" command

Well, like most of the rest of you zombie mod players, I've been playing this mod from the beginning and I have been noticing a trend of what seems to me like "hide n' go seek" along with "tag you’re it" when a server disables the zombie_unlimited_ammo command. As much as this can still retain its fun for a while, I’ve also been noticing that a lot of players don’t seem to know how to work together as a team without hiding behind some barricade or on some sort of a high spot where zombies seem to have trouble reaching. After a while, it seems like the players are not even trying to have fun, but much more the opposite which would be trying not to be zombie and just camping till the round is over.

Yeah, I could turn on the "zombie_unlimited_ammo" command on my server so that players could become brave, but i think then it becomes too counter-terrorist sided and that seems to be a issue all in is own (i.e., Plague Fest. sorry I say this Sauce, but zombies cannot win on that server). What I really think seems to be the balancing issue with maps, settings, and gameplay seems to be the instant zombification because zombies are just able to stab u like that and your zombie. If you were to add lag, sometimes hackers, spawncampers, and just about every other evil that most of us have come to hate, I can see almost why players’ n00b out and camp at unreachable places.

I think that by adding a command that can be changed to either have instant zombification or where zombies have to eliminate all of a players health before that player goes zombie, maybe there would be less need for extreme prop barricading maps and less reason to turn on "zombie_unlimited_ammo" and "zombie_knockback". Think about de_dust2 being fun with zombies again :D !!!!! Even more so, it should not be a drastic change to server administrators by creating this, its all dependent on what they set the variable to, so there shouldn't be a lot of complaints about making this command along those lines.

Over all c0ldfyr3, i think your mod has a good engine that has some really good features, i just think this command needs to be created so that there can be some balance for servers that do not want to enable "zombie_unlimited_ammo" and "zombie_knockback", but do want to have fun along with other players that could be willing to try not to camp if they could see the zombies as possible to kill enemies instead of beasts that kill with a one strike and have bad acne (Sorry, I'm no good with jokes :cry: ).

Anyways I hope you can see how i feel about creating this command and I hope if you have the time and resources to create this dream, that you very well consider doing so :D . Thanks for your time,

PS: I did see the thread that was slightly relating to creating this command, I just wanted to completely start fresh and show my opinion on the matter along with a solution. Hope you can understand my reasoning :roll: .

Ill look into it two weeks from now, I dont have acess to my PC till then.
Overall it sounds like a neat idea so it is something I could add =)

I agree with reaper. I personally have unlimited ammo off because players tend to gang up on the zombies or hide away by themselves. Also, I encourage teamwork on my server because I don't see enough of it going around.

Anyway, thanks for lookin' into it cold, I would praise you if you made that command. (well I already do for making ZM.) :)

sorry the funnest part about zombie mod is being unreachable makes u feel the rush and danger of zombies being feet away from u.

Not to say that it isn't fun camping in unreachable places, but I notice on my server that most of the zm_ maps dont hardly work well with camping at the moment without having knockback turned on at the lowest setting at minimum while not running unlimited ammo. Anyways, coming the infamous mod Zombie Horde, camping seems somewhat lame compared to "pwning" while running away from a horde of zombies.

Its kinda like what I said in my first post containing to this topic, its all up to the server administrator if the server wants to have one hit infect or kill then infect. Honestly, I bet at least half of the current servers will still run one hit infect, but for servers like mine that wanna run infection, but still like how zombie horde played out, this will make zombie mod even more so awesome.

Not to say that creating this command will defeat the purpose of camping, but I feel making this command will make most the zm_ maps work better and make zm_ maps easier to create in terms of not worrying so much about making "spots" that are unreachable and being able to focus more on the aspect of looks and style.
OMG!?!?!? Looks? Style? Zm Maps? NO WAI!!!!!!!!!

However, while you, Ted, are camping and exploiting the maps in ways unthinkable, I think I might be enjoying my rush and danger again, along with others, while running away from a horde of zombies and focusing on what it means to "pwn" again.

Likewise, sorry if you disagree Ted. Perhaps you might wanna look into being more open-minded.

Zombie Horde Style Gameplay + Infection = Awesomeness!!! =)
