Need help setting up zombiemod

I bought a server from www.gameservers.com and I have mani set up. I downloaded the new zmod files and it tells me my server is run on Linux, so I set up metamod for the linux .so files. That didn't work. So I tried to set it up for windows .dll files. That didn't work either. So now I have all of the files in my server yet it won't work, and when I type in meta or metalist in the HLSW server console, I don't even get a response, could it be metamod?

I would be more that happy to give the address, username, and password to a reputable person (one who I know won't run off with my account) to get into my server files and sort this out.
