Okay folks,

I'm finished for a bit and have released a nice set of models here for the community. As I've stated b4, all credit goes to Predator of fpsbanana for his original model work and ICS I just had to decompile and recompile in separate folders and roll a new qc file to ensure compatibility for server-side with ZombieMod. Sorry, these do not have separate head-less models and heads. I guess if I were held at gun-point, I could do these :lol:

You don't have to enable/use all of these. Simply comment out the ones you don't want to use in the models.cfg in the \cfg\zombiemod folder.

THIS DOWNLOAD CONTAINS THE ZOMBIEMOD DOWNLOADS.CFG AND MODELS.CFG WITH ALL OF THESE MODELS ENABLED ALONG WITH THE DEFAULT ZOMBIEMOD MODELS. IF YOU WANT TO REMOVE ANY JUST COMMENT THEM OUT IN THESE FILES

Don't forget to bzip to UL to your sv_downloadurl client source files

I've added the ones below as a stand-alone download, all the rest below are rolled up into one download found in the link at the end of this post. These are not zombie-like, just an off-the-wall set of models that you can use if you wish.

Updated 5-12-06: (Removed IMP and replaced with ICS's ZombieTerror since there were issues with the IMP and plus the IMP looked bad in-game.)

Do you bzip and use sv_downloadurl?

That helps a lot...we host all of our custom files on a different host to speed client dl's up. bzipping reduces size clients have to dl by 3/4.

do you bzip -z -9 I believe the -9 is max compression...but to stop chasing around in circles, no, sorry can't make smaller.

Also, here are my thoughts/recomendation using these models...

Firstly, this is ZombieMod and not CyborgMod ;-) I still use the default zombie and charpel zombie because they are fitting and have head-less functionality. I currently have only added two of the three extra above (Fat Zombie and Quake 4 Strogg) for the following reasons:

1. Minimize data for clients to download.
2. I feel the IMP model's color is drab and frankly looks like crap compared to the Strogg and Fat Zombie. Also, I found that using HDR in full takes away their detail, so try turning it off to see improvement.

Is HDR the reason everytime i go into a game its very very bright and the brightness levels change?

Its annoying, and i mean on regular maps.

I don't have the game running atm here at work, but you just load the client game and goto video settings and probably advanced or something and you'll see the HDR dropdown and I believe there are "off", "bloom" and "full"...just set it to "off" and it may or may not require a restart of the game.

different zombies should have different speed, health, and knockback. When is that going to be added?

theres a small problem I found in ur download.cfg
It should be

materials/models/player/lextalionis/imp/imp_nor.vtf
instead of
materials/models/player/lextalionis/imp/imp_Nor.vtf
