Settings per map.

you could implement a config file with every zombie map so that the best settings are loaded for that map.
The reason is that a lot of maps different in dificulity in some maps the humans have a good spot and they always win.
To blance that you could reduce the feedback by bullits.
But in another map the humans cannot get a good spot so you increase the feed back and decrease the health.
If mappers put this config file by every map they make, it should save a lot of work for a lot of admins and make mapping easier because you don't have to balance it in hammer you can do it after testing in the config.
But it would requires testing or the admin has to adjust the settings.
With psychomod you can easy see wich maps are not balanced.

There is a de_dust.cfg in cfg/zombiemod/
This is executed after zombiemod.cfg on de_dust.cfg, and any other map cfg files you add there will be executed at the start of the map in question.

The config files aren't there yet...just like the 404 error (file not found)...dude...they are a snap to make...just pick the map you want custom make a map.cfg (substitute map for the map name) and then add the cvars you want custom. If anyone gave you theres, then they wouldn't be custom to your taste now would they?
Now, to maybe get you started some...
I have a map in my cycle called zombie_mansion_atnight_beta2 (found in Maps forum) and this map is a booger for zombies because there are so many places for Humans to perch up high and shoot. So I figure there are two settings that can give advantage to Zombies and they are knock-back and JetPack. Now normally for maps w/o configs and use default zombiemod.cfg I use knockback (3), zombiehealth (2100), and NO jetpack for anyone. So here's the config and it does help balance humans and zombies on this map:
Code: Select all
// You can add per map configuration settings here.
// Ex: zombie_dark 0
zombie_health 1800
zombie_knockback 2
// Enables the JetPack for Zombies.
zombie_jetpack 1
// Enables the JetPack for Humans.
humans_jetpack 0
// Amount of seconds zombies are allowed to use the JetPack in one round.
zombie_jetpack_timer 3
zombie_welcome_text "3-SEC JETPACK IS ENABLED FOR ZOMBIES ON THIS MAP"
For now, I use custom welcome message that informs the players that this map has JetPack...for default maps, that just use std zombiemod.cfg, I use a more std message.

Do you mean PhychoStats? If so, then can you show us this setup?
We use HLStatsX and here are some of the info we capture:

psychostats has more info about the maps thats better to use to for improving your game server
here an example:
http://www.psychostats.com/ps3demo/maps ... 87868e813f
You can see the win/losses etc.
HLstatsx is more for the personal stats its cool to but a little short. (i'm talking about the same server as games

)

HeadShots per map are pointless and I didn't set that portion up, it's setup by default with HLStatsX...I'll take it out later.
HLStatsX is developed by Tobi at HLStatsX.com, but I have modified it alot to work good with ZombieMod.
BTW, now I have the map Stats I want:
